Nissan Biker X: 4 riders go head to
head on a Biker X course designed by legendary pro rider
Richie Schley. 2006 promises bigger doubles, sicker
drops and more treacherous tables than ever before.
Garbanzo Enduro Downhill: The 3400
vertical foot Enduro will test the nerve, stamina and
mind of all the competitors as they wind their way through
some of the Whistler Blackcomb Mountain Bike Park 's
best features and trails. With the fastest times coming
in at more than 15 minutes, you'll see for yourself
why it's called an Enduro!
Kokanee Slopestyle: The Whistler Blackcomb
Mountain Bike Park 's Boneyard serves up a variety of
line options for riders to express their style and impress
the judges. This July, riders will be pushing the limits
more than ever to dethrone 2-time champion Paul Basagoitia.
Jim Beam Air Downhill: The legendary
A-Line trail, which has defined the standard for all
machine-built freeride downhill trails, is the only
venue for the extremely popular Air Downhill. Over 200
competitors will push their limits over A-Line's 100
tables, berms and drops to ride away with the title
of Jim Beam Air Downhill Champion.
Kona Jump Jam: John Cowan, dirt jump
specialist, designed and built the new Kona Jump Farm
which will play host to the 2nd annual Kona Jump Jam.
Riders will have over 40 dirt jumps and a host of line
choices on their quest to impress.
Downhill Canadian National: The Canadian
National Downhill is an individual timed competition
set in Whistler Blackcomb's famed Bike Park . Technical
skill and control are the orders of the day as riders
race their way through technical downhill singletrack.
Super D Competition: Spawned from
an overall summary of the sport, Super D is simply a
downhill with climbing. Place your bets to see what
bike has the advantage and who will dominate this new
time trial event.
Cross-Country Canada Cup: The Canada
Cup Cross-Country event will feature a mass start and
will feed competitors into some of Whistler's best cross-country
single track. A mix up uphill and downhill terrain will
test the endurance and skill of the riders as they race
for 1-2.5 hours to cross the finish line first.
Crankworx is Whistler's premier outdoor festival during
the summer season.
